VidaAfrolatina is no longer an organizer, host or affiliate of International Afrolatinx, AfroCaribbean and Diaspora Women’s Day (formerly known as International Afro-Latin American Women’s Day). Because I must prioritize my own well-being at this time, my participation has come to an end.

Luz Marquez Benbow is now the sole lead organizer of this year’s International Afrolatinx, AfroCaribbean and Diaspora Women’s Day. I encourage everyone to attend her very important event on July 25, 2018, at the Howard University School of Law. Tickets are available here.

It was an honor to collaborate with Luz to organize this event held on July 25, 2017, at Howard University, and to have helped prepare for this year’s event. Many thanks to the supporters, presenters and the planning committee comprised of outstanding volunteers, without whom the event would not be possible.

Exciting news about the new iteration of VidaAfrolatina is forthcoming.
